One of the reasons why I love nail art is because it helps me express myself and my style. There are days when I just want to wear a simple outfit + simple makeup, or simple outfit + glam makeup, or even just lay on all the extraness. It’s easy to change up clothes and makeup, because you put on new sets everyday. Nail art… well… you’re stuck with one set for weeks. So, I usually choose the middle ground for my nails. Something not too distractingly extra, yet when I look at it, I still get bubbly and excited. On extra days, throw on some rings and bracelets, and your nails have the perfect accent!
For a long time, I couldn’t really dress up my hands as much as I wanted for those glam days. The joints and muscles in my fingers swell quite often, on top of having big hands and *ahem* big bones. Rings rarely come in my size, and even if they do, after a few hours of wearing them, I want to rip them off because of the stiffness of my hands. It felt like a miracle when I found HJ Designs’ adjustable rings on Etsy. I still can’t believe it when I wear these. They are so easy to adjust so if my fingers swell while I’m wearing it, just a slight tug makes the rings feel like a dream again. They’re so chic yet minimalistic enough that they add to nail art, not distract from them. And they’re vermeil! My allergic-to-everything self can rest easy. I’m obsessed, and I’m now on the hunt for more adjustable rings!
